Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. The contact was driving at relatively low speeds when a child passenger was able to remove himself from the child safety seat. The child climbed onto the driver's lap; fell onto the accelerator pedal which caused the vehicle to crash into the contact's home at full force. The vehicle crashed through two walls then into the rear of the home, through a fence and into a tree before coming to a stop. The frontal air bags did not deploy. The contact and two passengers suffered minor to moderate injuries. The police assisted with removing the passenger's from the vehicle. A police report was filed. The passenger's were transported to the hospital. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not contacted. The insurance company was investigating the crash. The failure and current mileages were 102,000.

I had a wreck in my pick / up. I hit several trees and the air bags didn't deploy and as a result I hit the seat belt hard enough to break four ribs, and hurt my back. Not to mention the stab wound on my ankle.

The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving 40 mph, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The frontal air bags failed to deploy. The contact struck his head and a police report was filed. Upon further investigation, the insurance company determined that the vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the air bag failure could not be determined. A complaint was filed with the manufacturer and they stated that the contact would receive a follow-up call within 48 hours. The contact did not receive a call back from the manufacturer. He called to inquire about the claim that was filed and was advised to file an additional complaint. My son was traveling 65 mph on an interstate when he was hit from behind on the passenger side bumper. This caused him to hit a concrete barrier on the drivers front bumper and then he bounced off of the barrier and hit another concrete barrier on the passenger side front bumper. Neither frontal airbags deployed. Dodge said that they sent a 3rd party investigator to look at the truck after it had been decided from the insurance company to be totaled. Dodge said that there was nothing wrong with the airbags and that they did not deploy because "the airbags never deploy when a vehicle is struck from the rear first". my son sustained shoulder and neck injuries and bruising of the brain. He was going approximately 65 mph when he hit the concrete barrier and Dodge says that "due to the deceleration from the rear impact the airbags were not supposed to deploy". we requested a copy of the engineers report and were turned down.

The right lamps are not receiving the proper current, only receiving current while utilizing the park lamp. No brake, hazard or turn lights. ! using the test light I tested every fuse within the power distribution center which indicated in no failures or blown fuses. Yet when utilizing the right blinker the relay has a muffled click that was barely audible unlike the left blinker where the relay sounded nice and strong with or without the trailer tow harnesses being utilized. Upon research I found that this was a very common problem with various years of Dodge lam"S. II believe that this problem that varies in low or high mileage Dodge truck"S needs to be addressed by the manufacturer due to the vast amount of complaints and queries for the same exact problems. I have been told by the dealer that the problem may be the integrated power module), $ $300 just so happens to control everything including most importantly the air bag system.

Dodge sent an engineer to investigate it and found, per their letter dated November 16, 2006, "that there were no manufacturing defects".

2004 Dodge Ram was hit by a tour bus resulting in the truck hitting vehicle in front. None of the air bags deployed. The consumer was stopped in traffic when a tour bus rear ended the trailer he was towing. The tour bus hit the truck at about 60 mph which caused the trailer to collapse under the bus and caused the consumer's truck to run on top of the SUV stopped in front of him. The vehicle was pushed down the highway until it rolled over. The driver of the truck was killed as a result of the accident.
