Experienced vibration from rear axle. Notified of recall P77, however there are no available replacement or repair parts. Chrysler has no estimated date of availability for such parts and is not acting in a timely manner to resolve the issue. Dealership confirmed that the recall is the source of the issue and they do not want to give me my truck back for safety reasons.

Ram 1500 8-cyl

  • 55,000 miles
Noticed leaking rear end fluid accumulating on the under side of bed above the rear axle pinion/drive shaft mounting point. Had to add rear end fluid at that time and have regularly added fluid to the rear end ever since. Vehicle has 178,000 miles as of today (March 12, 2015). Got a recall notice for the P77 (fca number)(14V-796 - NHTSA number) but have not been notified with a remedy. The postcard was sent in the same day it was received, on or about February 19, 2015. I am fearful of driving the vehicle and when I called the dealership (mac haik in temple, Texas), I was told nothing was available yet and I would have to bring the vehicle to them if and when parts were made available to do the repair. My complaint is the slowness with which the repair is taking and the fact I have to drive the [xxx] thing to them (30 miles). Please help me. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
