Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

My (new) '06 Ram 1500 4X4 suffered from pulsating brakes at 9K miles. Took it to the dealer and advised that my '03 Dakota had the same problem. They inspected the front brakes and confirmed the rotors had some "run out". they were resurfaced at no cost. Not long 19K miles, the condition arose again. This time, I had to make a 2500 mile trip and couldn't get the truck in beforehand. The dealer "might have considered" fixing them, based on a 12mo/12,000 mile warranty from the first repair. Nevertheless, now at 22K I am told I, too, am sol. We need to contact the manufacture and urge them to consider replacement before accidents occur.

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab with 16,000 miles. I recently discovered that the front rotors are warped and after talking to the dealership they informed me that this would not be covered under warranty. After inspecting I discovered that the brake pads are hardly worn at all. The service advisor told me that this was a problem they were seeing on these new trucks. I feel that this is unacceptable and should be taken care of by Dodge.

Bad pulsation when braking. Brake rotors warped after 12,000 miles. Dealer refused to fix it, had to pay for new rotors and pads after only 12,000 miles had the same problem with the last Dodge truck and they talked me in to this new truck with some money off to solve the problem now that this truck was doing the same thing they want nothing to do with me......the truckwas unsafe it felt as if my tirewas going to fall off.

With 13,500 miles on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 I started to feel a shudder when braking. I inquired with the dealer and he informed me that it was the rotors. He also informed me that Chrysler warranty on the rotors was 12,000 miles. Basically telling me I was sol!

At 15,000 miles my truck would start pulsating when I applied the brake. Found out the front rotors were warped. Happened again at 30,000 miles. Had rotors turned at my expense.
