The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 equipped with capitol precision trac II tires, size: 265/70517 (na). While driving 60 mph, the vehicle began to wobble. The contact pulled over to inspect the vehicle and noticed that the front passenger tire failed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was confirmed that the tire tread separated. The tire was replaced. The tires were replacement tires. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 197,000 and the tire failure mileage was 50,000.
