My 2007 GMC Envoy used to stop on me at the stop signs, at the red lights, and as I was crossing the railroad tracks. The engine would just cut off. This was a dangerous situation for me. Each day, I was scared that a driver would run into me, because my vehicle would stop unexpectedly. My husband took my vehicle to the shop for repairs. I have not had the problem with my vehicle shutting off as I was driving. I did not find a recall for this problem. I am mentioning it, because my daughter has a Chevy Cobalt. She had to get this same problem fixed. I am concerned about other people, who may have the same problem. We had to repair our own vehicle, because it was a dangerous situation for other drivers and myself. I don't know what type of problem it is classified as. I am sure that I may not be the only owner with this problem. I am not sure of the a exact amount for the repairs or the date. I do not throw away receipts. It was a problem with the ignition switch.
