I bought this truck used to drive to work. The trucks condition is ok for its age and millage, but the transmission seems to be slipping. When i go past 55 mph on the freeway the truck starts jerking, like there is no power from the engine or something. But i'm sure this is the transmission slipping. As long as i don't exceed 55 mph the truck is fine. This generation of GM trucks are known for having tranny issues.

I HAVE A 1999 GMC SIERRA 1500 Z-71 AND MY TRANNY ALWAYS SLIPS. AND I ONLY HAVE 110000 MILES ON IT AND MY OTHER TRUCK IS A 1999 DODGER RAM 1500 SPORT 4X4 AND IT HAS 166000 MILES ON IT AND THE TRANNY IS ORIGINAL AND NEVER SLIPPED. I WILL NEVER BUY A GMC AGAIN CAUSE THEY SUCK. I AM GOING TO BUY A NEW DODGE RAM.
