This on going issue due to oil consumption on the 5.3 afm system - it causes lifter failure and in turn marred the cam. There should be a recall. Has anyone had luck on getting GM to cover this??

Sierra 1500 SLE 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,000 miles

Please don't waste your money on gm trucks,2013 with 42000 miles, one quart per 1000 miles, GM will go broke if they stood behind their 5.3 oil burning engines. Traded a 2001 in that had 200,000 miles, used 20/50 Castrol, didn't use any oil, now I am checking oil way too often, is there any way to make GM fix this truck?
