GM issued a recall notice on July 1, 2021, regarding the rear curtain airbags in my Sierra. To this date (12/27/21), they have still not provided an ETA for getting this remedied. I called the dealership in September, to which they stated it would be another month before they could address it. I am wanting to be proactive to get this issue remedied, but the delay is unacceptable. I am escalating this to get some traction.

My GMC Sierra has the RRAB recall. Vin has already been provided. I asked GMC in a chat (all recorded) if the truck is safe to drive. I explained that I am a disabled veteran. I have numerous issues but one has to do with not having full use of my right hand. I drive with my left and support with my right. I asked them if they though I could safely drive the vehicle knowing that information and they refused to answer uttering that parts are not available and be reassured that when they become available they will call. That truck is my only source of transportation. I need that vehicle to get me to chemotherapy sessions, yes I have cancer too!!! I need to know if the vehicle is safe to drive and if not, what is GMC going to do to fix this issue. I'm sure parts must be available but I doubt that disabled veterans or Joe public are not he priority list. I just want it fixed. I don't want song and dances, I've heard enough of that in the military and working for the military. I just need it fixed. Is your agency going to step up to the plate and tell them that these vehicles are not safe to drive" I bought a GMC for its reliability and their follow through, GMC clearly doesn't have my 6. Will the NHTSA have my 6 or is this just another shafting of a veteran"

I purchased a GMC Sierra 2015 regular cab from your company representative, aljomaih automotive company in the kingdom of saudi arabia. However, after a few months, I discovered that the vehicle had several defects, and it exposes its users to serious threat. After that, ministry of commerce in kingdom of saudi arabia has made several callsfor users of the same vehicle that they have to check with the representativeto fix the defect for free. However, the representative temporized and evaded, then I had to file a lawsuit against aljomaih automotive company, General Motors’'s representative in the kingdom of saudi arabia. The court ordered the experts' department to checkthe vehicle by five specialized workshops, and reports were issued unanimously on the following: "the defect in the mentioned vehicle is a factory defect, which was found in all vehicles of the same type and not only the mentioned vehicle". also, I have submitted report to the court from the General Motors website proving that the mentioned vehicle is faulty with three other defects. As well as, all six calls were issued by the ministry of commerce, including the mentioned vehicle, with the chassis number.
