We bought it used in 2013 and shortly after it started have serious issues. It started with the traction control light coming on and it power down. Then it would stay running spitting and sputtering after we turned the key off. So then we received a letter stating there is a recall and take it to the dealership to have it fixed. So they fixed it or at least they said it was, so we continued to drive it and the engine light came on and stayed on so I took it back and they said it was the throttle body and catalytic convert. Then we changed those parts and it still has the engine light on and spitting and sputtering after we turn the key off.

Purchased my certified 2011 GMC Terrain 7/12/2016. After driving a few days noticed car was stalling while accelerating or in stop and go traffic. (1st service) took it in 7/28/2016 to be serviced, was told it was the catalytic converter-vehicle was better, but still hesitates on take off (2nd service) took it in 11/10/2016 received the recall notice about the fuel pump. Finally it seems to be driving better'for a couple of weeks (3rd service) took in 1/16/2017 to be serviced- car completely shut off on busy highway several times during morning rush hour (stop and go traffic), this time engine light came on. Was told something to do with electrical programming communicating with the fuel pump?! as of today car is starting to stall and hesitate again. My certified warranty is up in 3/2017, my fear is next few incidents will not be covered. Keep in mind I have not had this vehicle a year yet. I have a certified lemon. I deserve a refund/upgrade.

Going to visit son, daughter in law and grandaughter in Virginia from Michigan. Got reduced power message with stability control light. First time was without warning on the curvy hilly Pennsylvania turnpike in traffic at appx 70 mph.. lost power on hill had no acceleration, vehicle decelerated in front of traffic. Put on hazards and worked our way over to shoulder across 2 lanes of traffic. Thank god this didn't cause a pileup of holiday travelers. Stopped vehicle, engine was misfiring, there was no throttle response. Shut off engine and restarted, power was back but check engine light is on. Continued trip, 2nd incident was about 1 hour later also without warning. Had about 5 incidents this trip.

Upon entering garage, smelled odor of gas by car...looked underneath, ,small puddle of fuel, ,closer examination found pinhole in rust patch on fuel line..other rust areas noticed, but this was only leak.corrosion is to be expected.but not to the point of failure after only 4 and one half years..car was bought new and well maintained, also always garage kept.being out of warranty (of course!), I had to negoitiate with the dealer for a decent cost of the repair..I believe inferior quality is to blame and believe this can and will happen to others, hopefully without serious consequences...

While driving the vehicle stalled from 35-40 mph to 5 mph. A message came on the screen " engine power reduced". had I been on highway that would be ended in accident. Contacted GM and everyone I have been talking to them seems to be reading a script to me.

The vehicle just stops while driving, this is very dangerous and can cause a major accident. Dealer said the fuel pump was leaking!..for an almost brand new car this was unacceptable!..now it just happened again..the vehicle stops/the engine shuts down while driving!..im taking the vehicle again to the dealership to see what they say...
