2002 Yukon had very reduced braking under normal speeds and road conditions. The brake pedal was pushed nearly to the floor with only about 30% of normal brake capacity. As if the front brakes were not helping. The big issue is that the recall service by GM recall # 05068 has been performed on this truck less than 6 months ago on 8-23-2006. The recall procedure does not correct the defect. Someone is going to get killed by this problem that GM is not correctly addressing.

While driving 10 mph, the driver applied the brake pedal and it went to the floor. The brakes did not work. The mechanic could not duplicate the problem. There would be a howling noise as if something was wrong with the power booster and the brake pedal would vibrate. The problem only occurred around 10 mph.
