I purchased my 2005 GMC Yukon new. Since then my bakes have had a squeaky noise that i hate. I have taken it to a GMC dealership 3 separate times for the same problem. All they do is DE-grease the rotors and replaced the pads once and that didn't help at all. I am going to pay the SUV off one year early and buy me a different brand of SUV. It's going to be the last GMC i will ever buy.

I purchased my Yukon brand new and have serviced it at the same dealership that we bought it at. Since it was new the brakes have made some noise. In September of 2006 it started to become a loud squeak and squeal whenever you stopped, any time of day or weather. I took it in and had the dealership look the brakes over. They sprayed some crap on them and the noise got quieter. About three weeks later it started up again. Took it back, got more spray. This happened on and off for the next 3 months. Finally they clipped the corner of the brake that causes squeaks and re-applied the goop again. After another month I took it back and they replaced the front set of pads. Within two months they replaced all the pads. Finally GM came out with a new set of pads and we were the second vehicle to get them this summer. Within a month, guess what? Squeak, squeak, squeak. I had a friend pull the GM bulletins to see if there was anything else... guess what? Almost every single brake bulletin was about the 2005-2006 Yukon, Silverado or Escalade. The brakes are a problem but since they actually stop they won't fix them. Thanks GM!
