problem #2

Yukon XLDenali 6.2L

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

VERY POOR SERVICE FROM GMC ANFD BAD PROCESS BLAMED ON THE "SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUE" . That is B.S. because the transmission is still being made for new vehicles, and there is a 12 -18 month wait on new Denali's meaning they need all the transmissions they can get to pump out new vehicles............LEAVING THE EXISTING OWNER HIGH AND DRY!

10 speed transmission shuttered at low rpm and 50 mph. Brought in....Dealer said the transmission had issues and warranty will cover. They took it apart Dec 26, 2022 and said one part needed is on backorder with no info on expected delivery. It has been almost 2 months now and the dealer tells me they have no idea when the part will come. I call weekly and get the same answer. I called GMC after 30 days of this crap, and a customer service rep said she can see my vehicle has a part on backorder and will escalate my issue to a "backorder parts specialist". 2 weeks later I received a call from a GMC customer service rep telling me my advisor will be calling me soon. WTH? Why waste more of my time to call me saying "someone will be calling me"?. It's been 2 more weeks and I have not heard from the "GMC backorder specialist advisor" assigned to me.

This has been my 3rd Denali since 2003 and I have drivetrain issues with every one. I have ben a Chevy/GMC fan since 1979, but finally I am starting to look at Dodge and Toyota trucks as my next alternative.

I just hope I get my Denali back before Spring so I can tow my boat and go fishing. Or, I may just get my new Dodge.

Transmission started slipping. Before I could get to a safe location, it went completely. Had the car towed to a garage recommended by extended warranty. They told me that they have replaced 10 of the same transmissions this year. I have owned cars since the 1984 and have never lost a transmission. While checking the car, other issues were found. It has been at the garage since 8/1/2022 and it is currently 10/20/2022 with no return in sight. The parts were back ordered.
