The contact owns a 2009 GMC Yukon hybrid. While driving 20 mph, "service brakes soon" appeared on the instrument panel. The contact called the leasing company about the brakes, but they failed soon after. He ran a red light and drove up a small hill. The contact had to apply the emergency brake in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired by the leasing company. The contact feels that the vehicle is unsafe due to the brake failure. A recall was issued, which causes the vehicle to stall. The current and failure mileages were 12,000.
