I have taken my car many times to Honda, and over and over I get told they can't see anything wrong with it! It started months ago by just Idling rough with a strong vibration, then slowly built up to the engine knocking. Now the transmission refuses to downshift and is slipping. It will go to 4000 rpm and that is all but slowly build speed, sigh its slipping. Last time I was up there one of the service man pulled me a side, and told me, "Just because we can't feel or see anything wrong with it doesn't mean there isn't." I already very irradiated smarted off, "I guess when my engine blows up, then ya'll will have it towed here and fix it?" He then replied quite serious, "Yes."
I would have better luck with a '96 dodge neon, then this sh*t!

In February of 2008, at 6011 miles, my clutch went. Had the car towed to the dealership. Dealership claimed that the clutch was worn due to my driving. I have driven a manual transmission most of my life and have never had a clutch go under 60,000 miles. I have had a clean driving record for nearly 20 years now as well. The dealership agreed to fix the vehicle, "goodwill"... paying for the clutch, the flywheel, the pressure plate, both bearings, and labor.
At 17,832 miles, the clutch went again. The dealership once again told me that it was my fault. American Honda closed the case and then reopened it claiming that it could be the drive-train causing the problem. They still refused to cover it. The Honda Case manager said that it was unlikely that I caused the wear, but am still responsible. Never buy a Honda! Thire costumer service is horrendous. Their products are faulty and getting worse. Buyer beware.
