Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

At around 30,000 miles the vehicle started stalling when cold. We would start the car and before you could switch from park to drive the engine would stall. It has been getting worse ever since. We now have 100,000 miles on the car and now the car will stall when pulling from a stop which leaves us dangerously exposed in intersections on a regular basis. It seems like a simple problem of the car idling at too low of an RPM when cold, however Honda insists there is no problem. We had taken it to Honda a few times while still under warranty. Honda insists there is nothing wrong because no engine codes are coming up. We have replaced all spark plugs and all ignition coils and that did not fix the problem. Honda even had the car hooked up to the computer while it stalled and still insists there is nothing wrong with the car. The car is no longer under warranty so we will be taking it to an independent mechanic to see if the problem can be properly diagnosed.

In the morning, I turn the car on and put the car into gear and begin to move. When I come to my first stop the car stalls out. This happens every morning. Once I start the car back up it runs fine and does not stall out. I have searched many blogs and see that many people are having this issue. I would like a recall to be made for this since it seems to be a common problem on Honda Fit models 07/08. I have an appointment to have this looked at this week, however from my research it seems that people have had little luck with the dealerships. please contact me and help me with guidance on how to proceed.
