Within a few months of buying my second hand 2007 Honda Fit from the lot, I received a recall notice about drivers side windows stopping working but as of than had not had any problems. The recall was to have a reseal plate put onto the window switch to stop water from getting into the casing and causing the wires to crode, but only if you were having a problem were you to bring it in. Three months later I starting having this problem. My window just stopped working occasionally so I took it in. Instead of replacing the master switch the mechanic just inspected it and installed a protective skirting. All was well until 6 and a half months later when I forgot to put my window up and it rained. My window went up but wouldn't go down until the switch dried out. then about a week later I was waiting in the car for my daughter and all of a sudden the window went up on its own so I pressed the button to put it back down, of course it did it again after a couple of minutes so I left it. Then on the way home my daughter, being 11 thought we had a ghost because all of a sudden the locks started to lock and unlock on their own and continued to do so occasionally until I was able to take it back to the dealers lot and have them re-fix it properly by replacing the master window switch. The only reason I am mentioning this problem is because of all the other problems I have had to have fixed with this car in the last year and 3 months since I have owned it, please refer to power steering problems and gas mileage problems before buying a Honda Fit.
