Prelude SI 2.2L VTECH

SRS light comes on and stays on. This is a result of the board shorting out when you try to jump the car. This is a known problem from honda on all 2001 models. The problem was remedied in the subsequent years. Apparently if your battery runs low and you attempt to jump start the car the surge from the jump causes the entire board to short out. The cost to replace this is $919. Honda feels this is your problem and that it is not covered after the warranty expires. Interestingly enough, this little short means that the Air bags may not deploy. Not that they will not. So there is no pressing matter for them to fix it. However, the Seatbelts are covered under a lifetime warranty. I find this lack of responsibility a trickery propogated by lawyers.
