Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

As I backed out of the driveway my front brakes failed. The front driver brake pad had separated from the brake assembly. The pad was on the driveway. Inspection revealed that the bonding agent had failed. The jenkins Hyundai of bradenton confirmed the defect in the bonding agent-but stated that the braking system is not covered by Hyundai warranty. All brake pads were replaced. I retained the defective brake pad. Updated 02/01/10. Updated 03/08/10 updated 04/29/10.

While driving vehicle suddenly lost power and idled. Dealership serviced vehicle 5 times and replaced ignition coil, mass air flow sensor, and 2 other components. But the failure still recurred. Also, vehicle was serviced 3 times for brake failure. Brake pads and rotors were replaced twice. But grinding continued.
