First of all let me say ....I love my Hyundai! I noticed that the air bag light had come on and took it to Ron Carter Hyundai. I was told that even though I only had 58000 miles on my vehicle that it was over 5 years and was not covered under warranty. Wow...my bad. I thought I paid for 100000 mile warranty when I bought the car..... Anyway I paid for the diagnosis and was told that the clock spring was defective and was rather expensive to replace. I decided that seeing how this is a safety defect that I would wait until there was some sort of manufacturer recall. As of yet there has been none so I may have to bite the bullet and pay to have it fixed....we'll see. I don't plan on getting in any crash bang contests but living in Houston you just never know and it would be comforting to know that that system was in good working order...you know....just in case.
