While driving down the interstate at 70 mph in the fast lane I received loud alarm "hybrid system warning! safely stop and do not drive. Also on the dash board was a yellow triangle with an asterisk. In addition the red brake warning light was illuminated. The car accelerator no longer responded but lucky I was able to get the car to the side of the highway. If traffic were heavier (which it normally is in my area) I could have been involved in a high-speed collision. Once I got to the side of the road and pressed the brakes, there was a very loud noise and vibration felt in the seats and brake pedal. The vehicle finally stopped, I turned it off, checked the brakes for leaks. I also checked the brake fluid level. Everything looked normal when I restarted the car, not alarm. Everything cleared up. This is dangerous. I have searched the web and found that many others are having this same problem. For now the car is sitting in my drive-way. We don't feel safe driving it and from what I read the fix is expensive. I have a video of the dashboard during the malfunction if needed. Thank you.

Recommended services by keyes motors in van nuys is to replace the right and left taillight lens assemblies because. On inspection, they were found to be broken at the cost of $1183.03. There has never been any impact to these lights. Hyundai refuses to address this even after my complaint. On investigating this problem, numerous complaints online have been found with owners having this same problem on Hyundai Sonatas in the past dating back before 2013 and some 2014. Some having the problem repeated after having it repaired.

Every time I go to start my car it gives me a warning to check brakes. I read online that many Hyundai owners are having similar issues. This warning keeps the engine from starting. Along with this, there are also issues with the steering column and suspension.

While driving, the car started braking, lost power steering, stopped and warning on dash said hydraulic brake system, do not drive. I was able to pull onto turning lane. Turned car off, then on again. Warning gone on dash, put into gear and was able to drive no problem. Made service apt. Drove 60 miles before happening again. This time would not restart.towed to dealership.was told hydraulic brake system failure. I have 20,000 miles on car but 1 yr out of warranty. $2,700 and 3 days later they say this part has 1yr warranty. If this had happened on freeway it could have become deadly for me. I no longer feel safe in this car.

Yesterday, I noticed driving that 3 sensors came on in my car. The sensors were ABS, ecs, and low tire pressure. I called my dealership immediately and stated the problem the gentleman told me to come in Thursday July 25th 2019 and that it will be free of charge for a diagnostic. Thursday morning I awoke and travel 30 minutes away to the dealership. Upon 15 minutes from my departure a 4th light illuminated on my dashboard (eps) I begin to feel tension in my steering wheel. Once I arrived at the dealership I informed them that during my route here another light came on which turned out to be electric power steering. He informed me that it was a bad ABS speed sensor and that the cost of the repair would amount to roughly $600 R. we asked two of the employees if it was safe for us to even drive they both stated yes I departed from the dealership and once I merged onto the highway my heart dropped as I seen a new light illuminate on my dashboard and it just so happened to be my check engine light my steering wheel felt as if it locked up on me I went to press the brakes and the pedal went to the ground I was about 20 ft behind another vehicle if it wasn't for the shoulder I would have crashed not only were myself and my fianc's life at risk but my unborn child also and the innocent civilians in the vehicle in front of me that I would have rear ended at 60 miles per hour this has me very upset and anxious being I almost got in a serious accident 2 week before my expected due date. I feel this is very unsafe and no car should be doing this unexpectedly, with no accidents or damage to the car. I don't know what else to do. Thank you sincerely, [xxx] redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

My sockets constantly melt, the connector for my starter melted and my car would not start Hyundai wanted me to pay thousands to replace my wire harness when they are aware 2011-2014 have electrical issues, also my lights do not turn off I have to unhook my battery every time I get out of my car. My brake lights do not turn off while driving so nobody knows if im stopping or notand every Hyundai I see seems to have the same problem. I know it is a defect that they do not want to claim. I have had my engine replaced, also my brakes go bad extremely fast due to an issue with my axles that were mysteriously replace a month before I bought the car but they wont cover me because im a second owner.
