The motor blew up at 72K miles it is a salvaged title so the warranty was void but everything that I researched said Hyundai had a motor problem with this year of motor. They claimed it was only the sonota covered I really don't believe they make different motors in each vehicle with the same size motor. We were driving this vehicle when the motor blew up.

I was driving down the highway and it stopped changing gears and wouldn't pick up speed. The mechanic looked at it and told me the engine was blown because there was metal shavings in the oil pan. I only had 67K miles on this vehicle so this should not have happened.

Parkway Hyundai (24050 creekside rd, santa clarita, ca 91355) was contacted and stated that the part was not available and that the contact would receive a second notice when it became available. While driving 65 mph, all the warning indicators illuminated, the vehicle stalled, and a clicking noise was heard coming from the engine compartment. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road and called aaa for a tow. However, after waiting for fifteen minutes, the contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove slowly to an independent mechanic. The independent mechanic diagnosed that the engine was blown and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Earlier this year (2019) I received an important safety recall (interim notice) for my 2013 Hyundai Tucson. This is for campaign 181, which is an oil pressure switch replacement. As of today this recall is still not available. It seems to me that a fix such as this, for a faulty pressure sensor should not take more than 6 months, yet it has, and there have been no updates to the status. Can you please assist by responding with any additional details you may have available.
Car stopped while driving on the highway and shut down. Bits of metal all through the engine and oil pan. Hyundai tech says that it is normal and didnt cause the issue but other mechanics say it causes cam sensor, cam shaft and crank sensor and shaft failures. Took car in for the recall that is also affected by this and told oh well.

2013 Hyundai Tucson engine recall-went to Hyundai dealership to have engine checked, they claimed to have no knowledge of the recall and would not help me.
