I went to go get the sub frame replaced and when I went to start my vehicle the lights, blinkers, nor the wipers would come on. It's almost like the boogie man was in my compass. My indicator showing S/W/E/N is now not working. My lights came on with the ignition off, but will not come on with the engine running. I had a new battery installed 30 days prior, and I see some advise to disconnect battery is that a good idea? I'm also seeing where the TIPM fails. It's like once the sub frame corroded everything else started failing...this should be a RECALL.
while driving check engine light came on , the very next day all check engine lights in dash came on , not repaired yet. have no idea what the problem is. still looking for the answer to repair this problem , vehicle is parked not driving it now.
In addition to the front end problems, it has some serious electrical concerns. One day while I was out of town the horn just started going off randomly at 4 AM! Causing a nightmare for my wife. I have a Christmas tree of lights in my dash of different erroneous faults and sometimes will not start because it doesn't recognize the code from the key fob. Super annoying and the heated driver side seat hasn't worked for about 50,000 miles now. Stay away from a Jeep Compass. This is what I get for putting my faith in brand loyalty...
I have a 2007 Jeep Compass. What a mistake. My 4x4 light, my abs light, the passenger airbag light and traction control light are all on. The vehicles rear wheels lockup and skid, then the vehicle won't move. Anyone have any suggestions?
Headlights stopped working. Windshield wipers only work on the highest setting but goes up and down real slow then stops working. Passenger foglight and running light stopped working even after replacing the bulbs.
The ac stopped working as well.
The car also will start stalling out at about 22 mph and start sputtering.
I have replaced the starter motor twice after burning out.
