My front end was making all kinds of grinding sounds. One day in my way home from work the drivers side tire felt like it was going to fall off. It was wobbling and making a new grinding sound. When I got home we took the tire off and saw a piece of the surface was rusted and broke off. The whole control arm, cv joint - all that could just move at will. When we took the old rusted syndrome off, it was crumbling. And I was able to just take my finger through the metal. Not a safe design. We fixed it ourselves to save over $1000. But not a fun chore.
