Brand new compass from the dealer. Test drove it with no problems and it started to act up as soon as I signed the papers and drove it off the lot. I thought that I was doing something wrong as I was not familiar with the vehicle. WHAT HAPPENED! I stopped at a store on the way home and upon returning to my car I could not unlock the doors with the remote. I had to unlock the driver's door with the key and drove it home. That's when I noticed the lights would not shut off on the dash panel. The engine ran for a few seconds after the car was turned off and the key removed from the ignition switch. CRAZY AS HELL! I had to lock all the doors manually except for the rear hatch that would not lock manually. Left the car with the dash lights still illuminated and after 1-hour they shut off.
The next day everything worked fine as though there was never a problem AGAIN! CRAZY AS HELL......Took it to the dealer and was told it needed a part that was ordered...Returned to the dealer to have the part replaced, a 1 Hour job I was told and after waiting 3.5 Hours I finally got frustrated and went to the service manager to check on the progress. I found out that the mechanic that replaced the part decided to go to lunch not telling anyone that the replacement part did not work. They went with the cheapest part and are now telling me that the entire TIF ASSEMBLY, commonly know to us as the fuse box had to be replaced. AGAIN! CRAZY AS HELL.....
Part is on order....I'm driving rental car that dealer said they would pay for until repairs are made. I wonder if they will pay my first payment. If I continue to have the same problem then I will see what the MISSOURI new car lemon law will do. IF ANYONE HAS HAD THE SAME VEHICLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS PLEASE LET ME KNOW
