I have a 2015 Jeep compass. I had it for 4 years - had 22,000km when I purchased it in 2016. In 2018, I took in for a safety inspection and had to have the control arms/bushing replaced - lucky for me I had 10 days left on my warranty so work completed by dealer. I took it for a safety inspection in 2020 April and I have to have control arms both and tire rod ends replaced total cost 1100.00 cdn.
That's not covered by warranty this time.
This is a 4x4 which I do not use as a 4x4 just back and forth to work - it only has 70,000 kms. I can't believe on a 5 year old SUV that the control arms would have to be replace 3 times - there is something wrong here. When I question the mechanic, he's like maybe a pothole, well I would think it would have to be a very deep pothole. I will definitely be getting rid of this vehicle once repaired.
