Date of occurrence: 10/30/2015 after several minutes unattended, the parking brake spontaneously failed. The vehicle rolled down the driveway, coming to rest after hitting a tree in the neighbor's yard. The local police were notified; no report filed due to the only private property involved. Injuries to the owner when trying to catch the vehicle include, but not limited to: Severe facial trauma and loss of consciousness, dislocated left shoulder requiring surgery, broken 4th and 5th ribs, broken bone in left hand.

The contact placed the vehicle into drive and the rear passenger side wheel began to spin and would not allow the vehicle to move forward. The contact continued to press the accelerator pedal and the vehicle eventually responded. The dealer diagnosed that the passenger side rear ABS sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred on the rear driver side. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

I was traveling on the freeway. Dry, sunny day. The ESC light comes on for a half a second and the Wrangler brakes at the same time. Wheels did not lock up. Did not loose control. Just a split second, sudden deceleration. This has happened twice more, the last time was this weekend.
