The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle was running rough. Additionally, while the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle was slow to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the caliper had seized, and that the ball joint and K-bar needed to be replaced. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
