A car illegally whipped in front of me in a left turn lane (passed the point where entry was allowed), forcing me to break at low speeds. I had perhaps 3 times the space needed to safely come to a stop, but the brakes seemed completely deactivated. Becoming concerned, I exerted more and more pressure practically standing on the brake pedal. And, I'm a strong guy.

The ABS system kicked in, the car began to shudder. But amazingly, the car did not slow down and may have begun to speed up. I hit the car in front of me, causing damage to both of our cars. I've been driving since the early 80's. I know how a car should behave. Now, I'm terrified anytime I might need to come to a stop in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
