Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Last week, Friday evening, I started smelling smoke something like plastic, enough to make you search for the source. It seem as thought the smokey smell is coming from the inside but after opening the driverside door the burning smell is coming from under the car. On yesterday, Monday, four days since I first smell of smoke, which is consistent now and looked at by a mechanic who said running over a plastic bag is the possible problem. Called the mechanic who told me to pull over, wait and restart the car. Now I'm afaid to drive the car which is scheduled for a diagnostic test today, Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Where there's smoke there's fire,

The vehicle was parked in a driveway and the trunk was opened when the rear window shattered for no apparent reason. The window was not struck. This occurred after a 200 mile highway trip with no issues. Obviously, if this had happened on the highway it could have been a difficult situation.
