1993 E300, one day car made odd sound. I took off radiator cap and looked like chocolate milk. Head gasket blown and water mixed with oil. Known defect of a very thin head gasket and if the engine ever gets hot with the aluminum head will warp enough to cause the gasket to go. Warning sign is a slow oil leak from the back right corner of the in line 6 engine. Only solution is to have the head machined and a new head gasket. This is a common problem I have been told. $1800 solution but the shop did an excellent job and never had another problem with it. (Mercedes Doctor Trussville, AL)
