Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

I have an airbag code showing passenger side sensor or wiring harness failure. Vehicle is out of warranty, Mercedes states repair cost is my problem. Checking Mercedes forums reveals hundreds of complaints of similar and exact problems. SRS is a vital system, and cannot fail. Design and support from the manufacturer should reflect their commitment to safety, not just pass the buck. One or a dozen instances may be quality control issue, but hundreds or even thousands is a flaw that should be investigated. From"Q=SRS+Mercedes+light&ie=utf-8& from"Q=SRS+Mercedes+light&ie=utf-8& hundreds of Mercedes Benz owners have a sensor or wiring problem that could lead to injury or death. I believe such a widespread issue should be repaired at the cost of the manufacturer, not the owners or victims.
