Regardless of whether the vehicle is under warranty, a structural issue such as the panoramic roof coming loose from the body/frame due to loose bolts and poor design in general, should be covered by the manufacturer (MBUSA) as a recall type of covered issue. The panoramic roof "POPS" (more like the sound of a shot gun) when the body flexes in the slightest. Mind you it happens simply turning onto an uneven surface!
This "pano" roof issue is being discussed on many forums, spanning many different brands of vehicles... new and old... all with the same problem!
I've been to the dealership for an oil change and the tech states to me, "You better get that sunroof tightened down before it separates and flies off or worse cracks from being loose or leaks when it rains!"
This is not a wear and tear issue! This is a structural and design issue that can be resolved by tightening the bolts down and should be addressed by issuing a recall.
