Mercedes should be sued. First I had the infamous key fob problem. The ignition system would not recognize my key. That cost me almost $1000.00. Then a year later I almost got rear ended when the vehicle suddenly turned off and stopped working at an extremely busy intersection at rush hour. Now I'm told it is the ECM unit and I have to replace it for $2,100.00. Mercedes put something on the market which was not yet ready for the consumer. They know it was defective from the outset, yet, take no responsibility whatsoever.

At the end of WWII my dad was assigned to testing several German Tiger Tanks for the US Army. He walked away from that experience with a contempt for anything German made. From a small child until he died he warned me about ever buying a German vehicle. They are all over engineered, somewhat experimental and if they break it will never be an easy fix. STAY AWAY FROM GERMAN VEHICLES, son. Well I didn't listen and now he is looking down at me saying, I told you so. HE WAS SO RIGHT.

I guess I deserve this for not listening to him. You consumers out there - don't buy this crap just because you think it places you above the rest. In the long run you end up on the bottom of the pile.
