Last night I couldn't shift out of park in my '94 mercury grand marquis. Also, my brake lights stopped working. Found a "solution" on this site--called for replacing an interlock switch. According to AutoZone there is no such part. I bought a new stoplight switch and replaced the old one and both problems were solved. It was fairly simple to replace. Thank you to Mikie C. for pointing me in the right direction.
