We don't have a lot of complaints on file for the Mercury Tracer (although feel free to add yours here) -- it's either not very popular ... or it's very, very good.
The 1997 Mercury Tracer has the most complaints, & the most-reported problem is with the 1998 Tracer for grinding, roaring sound from wheel.

This is a cheap and easy problem to fix, but a safety issue if you're driving around with no brake lights.
