2007 Mercury Mariner hybrid. While driving about 70 mph the vehicle just shut down. Cw the consumer stated the defective coolant pump was replaced, prior to the recall. The consumer is requesting reimbursement. Recall # 14V526000.

The contact owns a 2007 Mercury Mariner hybrid. The contact stated that while waiting at a traffic light, the engine stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact received a notification for NHTSA campaign number 14V526000 (hybrid propulsion system). However, the part needed to remedy the vehicle was unavailable. The contact believed the failure was related to the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 72,000.
