Have had this reoccurring issue for some time now. Took to an independent mechanic and was told the hydraulic control unit was leaking/faulty and needed to be replaced. I was told to purchase a new one and install would cost almost 7K. Brake light and ABS light come on intermittently and I lose almost all braking power when this happens. It also feels like brakes get stuck on wheel when this happens sometimes. Message screen says "Check Regen Brakes" also.

This has not caused an accident but it's very, very unsafe. Seems there are a lot of other Mariners that are experiencing the same thing. Should be a recall at this point, only a matter of time until someone does get hurt from this.
