The air bags have been fixed. Sometimes when I apply my brakes they are soft and I have to apply more pressure to stop. When this happens I drive really slow because I don't know if I'm going to be able to stop in time. I have not kept track of how many time this has happened. At least 5 times in the last 6 months. Twice I went to my mechanic and they bled the brake line to get it fixed. Winter is here and I hope this does not cause a wreck because you expect us to wait until you get the parts. I have no other transportation and need my car.

The contact owns a 2008 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 5 mph, the contact attempted to decelerate and the pedal went to the floor. The contact then crashed into another vehicle. There were no injuries. The contact also mentioned that he erroneously depressed the accelerator because it was too close to the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was recommended that the brakes and rotors be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The consumer stated his foot would accidentally hit the accelerator pedal, if he foot was not completely on the brake pedal, which caused the vehicle to surge. Both incidents, resulted in an accident.
