reported this noise and being a woman I had my brakes replaced even when I told the mechanic that was not the noise. When I applied my brakes it did not make any noise. It sounded like a sewing machine whinny up or a jet taking off....noise came and would go, lasting 1-2 hrs. of driving to 5 mins. Bumps did not make a difference.I also reported the noise sounded like it was coming in the middle of the car. Now I am waiting for a part.to replace the bearing in the driveshaft.
