Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Sky. The contact stated that the hood to her convertible does not have a secondary latch. As a result, the hood rapidly flies back as if it were a sail. If the hood spontaneously opens while driving on the beltway, it could easily detach because of the air pressure from the wind. She took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the component was not a warranty item; therefore, she would have to repair the vehicle at her expense. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 13,900.

: the contact stated while slowing down at 10 mph, the vehicle shuttered through the steering wheel. The dealership was unable to determine the problem, but the power steering pump was replaced in a repair attempt. Updated 11/21/2006 - when the consumer drove the vehicle in reverse or at 5-10 mph, and made a sharp turn, the consumer could feel a vibration in the steering wheel.
