Since purchasing the 2008 Saturn Sky in September 2007 the brakes do not work when first starting the vehicle. The car must warm up before the brakes work properly. The car was brought back to the dealer several times and I was advised that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. Recently the brakes failed when I had the cruise control on at 65 mph. The cruise did not shut off, the brakes did not even slow the vehicle. Every time the car has gone back to the dealer they tell me that there is no problem. Last week they advised that they had to re-calibrate the brakes- this did not work, I still have the problem when I first start the car, I have not used the cruise control since.

My wife and I bought a 2008 Saturn Sky redline 2.0 turbo charged 3 weeks ago and on Apr 17,2008 she was backing out of her parking spot at work and stepped on the brakes and the car kept moving narrowly missing a parked car behind her. She had to really stomp on the brakes and it slowed slightly and finally stopped inchs short of the parked car. I have read that GM seems not to have the fix for this. They say warm the car before moving. There was no mention of this issue at time of purchase. My question is does someone have to die before this gets taken care of.
