Car purchased when less than 15,000 miles on it in 2007. Passenger seat and light malfunction in 2008. Had passenger seat replaced under warranty. No further problems until about 2015 when I got many, many cards from Suzuki to replace the front seat. I repeatedly tried to tell them it had been replaced. Finally I just took it and had the seat replaced a second time under the recall. Now the passenger side seat belt light and the drivers side air bag lights come on and off at various times. No accidents with this car.

This car is in excellent shape and Suzuki should step up and make these issues right once and for all. My car may be 12 years old but it runs like a champ, not scratches, no dents, one small spot of rust to be fixed ASAP. Best part is NO CAR PAYMENTS. So, with the lights flashing on and off, will the seat belt and air bags work if I get into an accident? If it has been traced to the passenger side seat, then the recall did not resolve the problem.

Like so many others with 2006 Grand Vitaria's the passenger seat has issues with electrical sensors for the seat belt and airbag. Suzuki has issued a letter to fix the problem, but the mileage must be under 100,000 or 10 years. The problem occurred in my vehicle with in these restrictions, but the letter to fix the problem came years later and now my mileage is 130,000. I call the number on the letter and they told me I did not qualify due to my mileage. So I wrote the Suzuki headquarters and received the same response. Unfortunately since my mileage was over, they could not fix the problem for free. I could accept that answer if the problem occurred after the 100,000 miles, but it didn't. The company just finally agreed to fix the problem I have been having for several years.
