We don't have a lot of complaints on file for the Volvo 240 (although feel free to add yours here) -- probably because it's so old, no one bothers to post complaints anymore.
The 1988 Volvo 240 has the most complaints, & the most-reported problem is with the 1992 240 for whining sound.

stalls intermittently -- 1987 240:
the car will be running but then shut off like if lack off gas. I already changed the gas filter to a new one. When it's running and I hit the gas peddal it smokes from the muffler like it's burning too rich. It also discharges small amount of black water from the muffler. Read more »
