The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the front driver tire blew out without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that an alignment needed to be performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 57,000. The VIN number was not available.
I have a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado 4X4 truck. I was getting over in left hand lane to avoid a truck and trailer that had stopped about 4 car lengths ahead of me when the front passenger tire snapped off the spindle and sent the truck down into the road. The hole tire snapped off and flew by the window taking the mirror and door handle with it. The tire was not flat and still had lugnuts fully locked on it when I picked it up off the other side of the road. My auto body guy said it looked like the metal, spindle, and axel just broke in half.
