I had routine maintenance in January 2015 to replace original front brake pads. The mechanics replaced the rotors, calipers and pads, which they called the wrong pads (factory pads). Driving home the ABS light came on. I took it back the next morning, they said it was fixed..Within two miles it came on again. I said hell with it.
In the last 1800 miles, brakes bind up, make noise and throw the abs fault code. This wasn't happening before I took the truck in to Lex Brodies in Pearl Ridge. I took the truck back 6/6/15, yesterday because it was getting worse. They said their brake job had nothing to do with the hub sensor failure..So I needed a new hub with sensor inside. Charge was $609!!!!!!!
Then why did the ABS fault light start happening the same day they screwed with It??????? They shorted something out when the did the job, and burned the speed sensor. It would run the fault in the morning when I hit 25 mph. So, now, the front left hub, right hub, and ABS module have been, replaced, along with rotors, calipers, and pads.....Total cost for that, is $3059...the whole truck cost $15,000.
I probably will get rid of this metallic piece of junk if there is any more unusual malfunctions, and never buy another outsourced Chevy piece of crap. I'll go with Toyota, or Mercedes,..something that they're proud of building.
