Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Brake lights on my 2008 Chevy Colorado are not working, a few years ago I had the same problem and took it to the dealer for repairs, the problem came up again but this time I see there is a recall for vehicles like mine, except it looks like the repairs are not covered by the manufacturer because the vehicle was sold in California. The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the contact attempted to depressed the service brakes and the brakes failed to engage properly. The contact mentioned that the ABS fault warning lamp illuminated on the instrumental panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the wheel hub and speed sensor were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,726. Updated 08/11/14

The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the ecbm in the braking system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
