Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado. The vehicle was equipped with Michelin tires, size 265/70R/17 and the dot number was apkp495X3812. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 mph the belts were defective on the front passenger's side of the vehicle. The driver's side front tire also had pin holes. On a different occasion; the right passenger's side rear tire blew out. The contact was able to replace the tire with the spare. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado with general general usa tires, size P215/70R16, dot number: 4309. The contact was driving 55 mph when a loud noise was heard and the vehicle began to pull to the right. The contact merged to the shoulder where she noticed that the rear driver side tire had blown. The tire was replaced by the spare tire. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,000.
