Well let me begin about a year and a half ago I started having wheel hub assemblies to start going bad. The first time I was going through town and the front right wheel hub locked up and almost caused me to hit a light pole. I fixed it on side of the road. Then about a month later my front left wheel hub started grinding going 60 mph across a levy that was 2 lane and when it started grinding I couldn't even get my foot on the brake to turn my cruise off before the front left wheel locked up and jerked my steering wheel to the left so hard and quick I almost hit another vehicle head on. Luckily I had both hands on the wheel and quickly straightened the wheel out and avoided the crash but my wheel was locked up and sliding and it slid a slick flat spot on the bottom of my brand new tire so that one costed me $400 to fix.
Thankfully I know how to work on cars and did it myself. Then back in February of this year (2022) my front left wheel hub locked up and my wheel almost came completely off. It would have if it didn't get caught under the fender well and start sliding . Well there is another tire and hub assembly and A towing fee of $125. So $400 for tire and hub and $125 for tow fee. They fixed it this time on February 22, 2022. Now here it is 6 months later and I'm hearing a roaring from the front again and jacked it up a few minutes ago and give the wheel a wobble and here we go again. This time it's both of the front wheel hub assemblies! Wtf?! I've had enough of this Chevy!
Whenever Chevrolet can start paying for my wheel hub assemblies and pay to have them installed as well and pay for damages to my vehicle and tires I'll think about buying another Chevrolet but until then I give the Chevrolet Colorado LT 2wd Z71 a big fat two thumbs down! And a negative 5 stars! This issue almost caused me to have a few bad wrecks and it is not something you want to forget about fixing. It hardly even gave me a warning any of the times the hub assembly went bad. It started grinding and a few min later it locked up every single time.
