Trunk lid only moves up about 1/2 inch when actuated. They ordered new support lifts. When the parts arrived I took it in and they were replaced. No change to the problem, still the same. Service writer stated that they replaced the parts and that was all that they could do to fix the problem. He stated that there was only 1 part for Impalas and there no fix for this problem, In fact there are 2 different lifts for the Impala. One with spoiler and 1 without spoiler. My wife uses a cane to walk, and the trunk needs to open enough for her to easily lift it as it did when the car was purchased.
