It is a known issue, they have a high failure rate. There is an extended warranty for this issue because of it, but only in states with smog/emissions controls and regulations. Otherwise, it costs a bundle to fix the check engine light. Ignore it, and you lose auto starter, notices of subsequent error codes, and it will eventually plug up and kill your power and economy.
